FLARE — Real-Time Wildfire Intelligence

FLARE is a real-time wildfire intelligence platform built by BRIDGE Research and Policy Foundation. It uses a proprietary AI model to enhance GOES geostationary satellite data into 250–450 m wildfire intelligence at a 5-minute refresh rate across the continental United States.

What FLARE Does

• Converts coarse geostationary satellite data into near-VIIRS-resolution fire intelligence
• Delivers continuous 5-minute updates — no gaps between polar-orbit passes
• Covers the full CONUS with no new satellites or hardware required
• Computes a proprietary FireScore index that quantifies fire intensity and spread risk

Technology

Data inputs: GOES-East and GOES-West geostationary satellites and VIIRS fire detection references from NASA. The AI enhancement pipeline reconstructs higher-resolution wildfire intelligence from geostationary observations. Output resolution: 250–450 m. Refresh rate: every 5 minutes.
